At the start of this year, we were honored with the opportunity to design the new kit for the Zimbabwe National Football Teams. Here’s the inspiration behind the bold and powerful Warriors kit.
This striking jersey is more than just sportswear; it’s a canvas for Zimbabwean heritage, ingenuity, and pride. Pfeka's design pays homage to one of the greatest teams Zimbabwe has ever known—the Warriors of the early 90s—by incorporating subtle patterns inspired by their iconic kit. These patterns evoke nostalgia while symbolizing continuity, celebrating Zimbabwe’s football legacy and inspiring the next generation of Warriors.
The shoulders are adorned with Pfeka’s signature Great Zimbabwe stone motif, a tribute to the architectural brilliance of the Great Zimbabwe Monument. This design serves as a constant reminder of the ingenuity and resilience of the Zimbabwean people, carrying centuries of history onto the global football stage.
One sleeve features a subtle armband inscribed with the word “Warrior”, a mark of honor and unity for the players who don the jersey. This armband reminds each player of their role in representing and fighting for Zimbabwe's pride on the field.
The collar and one sleeve are detailed with the vibrant colors of the Zimbabwean flag, celebrating the nation's diversity and spirit. These elements not only display the pride of Zimbabwe but also unify fans and players under one banner—our national identity.
